As part of my new year diet and getting fit regime I dragged Keith out for a brisk walk into Leigh to do a bit more exploring and so I could take some photos.
We found what is known as the broadway which has some more shops (yay) and restaurants and then made our way down to the sea front.
As you can see I have taken some photos and made Keith pose. We decided to have a spot of lunch in one of the seafood restaurants along the front (http://www.simplyseafood.co.uk/ I think...) which was very nice. Keith had lobster bisque and I had some bread and dips, followed by king prawns with chilli & butter (Keith) and spaghetti with king prawns and tomatoes (me). That warmed us up nicely as it is currently 0 degrees - brrr.
Then I have to admit, we did catch a cab back home because Keith couldn't face the walk - be kind, he has been suffering from Man-flu this week so it was good that he came out in the first place.
Mum and Dad are coming over either next weekend or the following one to help us drill holes in the wall as I have a coat hooks I want up and also to put up our new house number. Will keep you posted!
